Perfect timing for this article is over the past few weeks. I’ve been having pain shooting down my legs to the plantar fascia. And I determined that indeed was my hips. So I started pigeon pose, and a few other stretches, and quite a bit of the pain has disappeared. I’ve also been working on strength by doing glute bridges with a kettlebell, good mornings with the kettlebell. I put weights on my legs when I do the dead bug, and I’ve been doing other strengthening exercises.

Seated office worker/marathon runner here. This article couldn’t have come at a better time! I‘ve been stretching the hip flexors regularly but forgetting the strength part. I’ll incorporate those exercises in my routine!
